Have you been asking yourself when is the best time to get married in Puerto Rico? Our beautiful island is a tropical oasis with warm temperatures and blue skies all year round offering a rich cultural experience for visitors and a gorgeous landscape which makes it one of the most popular destination wedding locations.
Puerto Rico does not experience a flow of the seasons like most of the United States, so any time of the year is a good time for a wedding, but if you’re looking to create a great experience for your guests, there are two times during the year we recommend to set your eyes on.

Best Time to Get Married in Puerto Rico: October-December
Who said a December wedding had to be accompanied by snow? Couples living in the Northern US and Canada will typically book their destination wedding in Puerto Rico during the winter months. That way, they can trade winter boots for sandals and get away for a celebration under the palm trees.
The temperatures during the last quarter of the year average in the mid-70s. It’s perfect for a mild beach wedding in Puerto Rico, where you won’t have to worry about excessive humidity.
Something to consider: this is peak time for destination weddings in Puerto Rico, so make sure to book well in advance.
Alternative Months: April-May
Another time to consider having your destination wedding is during the spring months of April and May. April showers bring May flowers, but not in Puerto Rico, where hurricane season has yet to arrive and temperatures are reasonable and warm in the high 70s to mid 80s.
Tourism ends its peak during these months, which is perfect if you want to experience the liveliness of the island with the added bonus of privacy and quiet.

If we had to pick, we recommend avoiding “typical wedding season”. The hot summer months of June through September can be the least desirable times to plan your destination wedding to Puerto Rico. With temperatures rising into the 90s and tourism at its highest, you never know what to expect and how long things will take.
Overall, there is never a bad time to visit Puerto Rico or a bad time to plan your wedding. Keep in mind the weather, the tourism, and what you desire, so you can have the wedding of your dreams.
